GOLF TOURNAMENT – 2ND ÉDITION

Gatineau, June 21, 2026 – Building on the success of its inaugural event, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Outaouais (BBBSO) Golf Tournament will return to the Tecumseh Golf Club on Friday, September 11. Thanks to the outstanding support of participants, partners, and sponsors last year, the tournament enabled many children across the Outaouais region to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister, opening the door to meaningful, lasting mentoring relationships.

Founded in 1983, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Outaouais serves young people aged 5 to 21, primarily those from single-parent families or those facing developmental challenges. Funds raised through the tournament, combined with the generous support of the Choquette-Legault Foundation, have allowed the organization to continue its mission and increase the number of mentoring matches made over the past year, providing more young people with guidance that fosters confidence, perseverance, and overall well-being.

“The success of our first golf tournament demonstrated the incredible strength of our community,” said Benoît Chrétien, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Every registration, every partnership, and every donation was transformed into a tangible opportunity to change the course of a child’s life. Thanks to this remarkable wave of generosity, many young people are now benefiting from mentoring relationships that will help them reach their full potential. We are also deeply grateful to the Choquette-Legault Foundation, whose financial support allows us to build on this momentum and meet the ever-growing demand for our services.”
